After days of teases and speculation, NetherRealm Studios has officially confirmed that DLC in the form of a Kombat Pack 2 will be coming to Mortal Kombat X.
Unfortunately for fans, the Mortal Kombat X DLC won’t be arriving on Xbox One, PC and PS4 until early 2016.
In an official statement from NetherRealm Studios, the Kombat Pack 2 and DLC for Mortal Kombat X will include a slew of new content. Check out the official statement below.
“Today Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment confirmed that NetherRealm Studios is developing new downloadable content (DLC) for Mortal Kombat X , the best-selling game of 2015 to-date according to US NPD. The new content will include four new playable characters, skins and a new environment, all of which will be available in the first half of 2016. “
While it’s a little deflating that fans of Mortal Kombat X have to wait for 2016 to get new content, the fact that four new characters will be joining MKX is very exciting.
Which four characters will be included in Kombat Pack 2? There is no official word from anyone but you can definitely expect Ed Boon and the rest of the NetherRealm crew to be teasing the identity of the four all the way till the new year.
Nightwolf seems to be a popular guess considering Ed Boon’s most recent teases when he tweeted out two pictures of the moon, but with the amount of characters NOT in Mortal Kombat X the list is huge.
But we want to hear your thoughts on the 2016 release date for Kombat Pack 2 and your guesses as to who are the four upcoming characters in the comments section below.
- Blood and gore
