The Flash season 2 promises to be bigger and badder with a ton of new speedsters and villains arriving in Central City.
And there is no bigger villain for The Flash season 2 than Zoom, the latest speedster who looks to destroy Central City. But what does Zoom want, and what does it have to do with Jay Garrick?
Well, the latest Flash season 2 trailer gives us some answers to these questions as we find out why Jay Garrick has come from Earth-2 to Central City to meet with Barry Allen and the rest of Star Labs.
We also get a good look at Zoom himself.

From the trailer, we find out that Jay Garrick has come to our Earth to fend off Zoom from doing what he did on his Earth, namely kill a bunch of people.
While we don’t get Zoom’s endgame for the upcoming season of The Flash, it was revealed during an iTunes featurette that Jay Garrick will act as a mentor to Barry so he can become a better hero.
DC Comics even has a brand new The Flash season 2 poster, which you can see above, that shows Barry sparking with lightning and from the looks of it, he’s being absorbed, possibly into the black hole that was created at the end of season 1.
The Flash season 2 is set to premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 6 on the CW.
