Episode 14 ended with the Liars and Caleb figuring out that the new “Uber A” is staying at the Radley Hotel, or at least was at the Radley Hotel when they took a photo of the nine iron golf club that police believe is the weapon that killed Charlotte DiLaurentis. With some PLL style sleuthing, Aria discovers that the nine iron belongs to her father, Byron. Conveniently, Byron calls Aria back as the Liars figure out this piece of the puzzle, telling her he needs to speak with her urgently. Byron currently looks very suspicious as Aria remembers overhearing him and her mother Ella talking about Charlotte’s release and him saying she would walk the streets of Rosewood “over his dead body.”
“Uber A” has been texting the Liars, in particular Hanna and Spencer. Hanna has already lied to the police, making up an alibi about her whereabouts the night Charlotte was killed, which she tried to corroborate with her friend Lucas. However, their story quickly unraveled. Hanna confessed this to her fiance Jordan, telling him about the footage of Aria she deleted from the surveillance at The Radley. She does not tell him about “Uber A,” who then texts Hanna, telling her she mustn't squeal to the police that someone is sending her anonymous texts. Hanna also confesses to her mother, who tells her the police plan to uncover the missing footage from a remote server.
Spencer is also dealing with the aftermath of her hookup with Caleb and having to interact with her ex-boyfriend Toby and his fiance, Kristine Phillips, who happens to be the daughter of the candidate her mother, Veronica is running against for state Senate. “Uber A” has been texting Spencer, taunting her with the fact that Toby is marrying someone else. When she shows the texts to Caleb, she deletes that text in particular; however, Caleb is able to uncover the text while he uses the details to track “Uber A’s” wearabouts.
Spencer and Caleb uncover a storage container, where “Uber A” stored Charlotte’s old “A” uniform, a black hoodie and gloves in a garbage can. They also find a cellular phone in the garbage can, which immediate rings with a text, which says “I don’t lurk in the shadows, I hide in plain sight.” We’ve already seen the new “Uber A” several times, once lurking outside the Brew coffee shop as Emily is chatting with the barista, Sabrina. In another scene, “Uber A” is leaving the Radley Hotel wearing a bellhop costume and an old man mask and enter a limousine, where he or she takes if their mask; however, we do not see their face.
Meanwhile, Hanna has gotten a lawyer, who assures her she cannot be charged for any crime if the police cannot prove that she lied. She’s called in by the police once more; however, they cannot hold her because they discover that the footage is missing from the remote server. We then see that Hanna’s mother, Ashley has taken the footage from the server, even though she told Hanna she would be unable to retrieve the tape.
In Episode 15, the Liars continue to search for clues that Sara Harvey is the person behind the new series of stalker texts they have been receiving. In particular, Aria and Spencer brand off to do some investigating, with Aria coining the term “Team Sparia.” The two are seemingly breaking into Sara’s room at the Radley Hotel, as per scenes from the episode promo.
As usual, Caleb is using his tech savvy to help the Liars. He has devised a plan to use the Radley security footage against “Uber A.”
We’ve learned that Emily is donating her eggs to earn money. In the aftermath of her procedure, she is confronted by Dr. Rollins, who comes to visit her on behalf of Alison. It appears Alison wants to help Emily, but Emily isn’t interested in speaking with Alison.
The rest of the story unfolds Tuesday when Pretty Little Liars Season 6 Episode 15 airs at 8 p.m. EDT on Freeform.
