Among the hoopla of the Super Mario Run iOS release, many anxious Android users may have found themselves at the Google Play Store searching for an alternative to download. However, the Google has been hot on the job removing Nintendo rip offs from its app store.
We downloaded a game called Happy World Mario days before the Super Mario Run release, which was no longer available on the Google Play Store come Thursday.
A similar game called Super Smash World was renamed Smash World Adventure to evade deletion.
These games are more like typical Mario console games. However, developers are working on getting games more similar to Super Mario Run on the Google Play Store.
One such game is Super Plumber Run by Onduck Games. The game is a portrait style endless runner game with visuals and music very similar to a Nintendo game. The game also copies the power jumps and secret areas found in Super Mario Run, according to Attack of the Fanboy.
Unlike the real Super Mario Run, Super Plumber Run is completely free.
Anyone interested in installing Super Plumber Run should do so as soon as possible. There is no guarantee the game will remain on the Google Play Store. And there is still no official Super Mario Run Android release either.
Overall, we’ve noticed games containing the words “Super” or “Mario” are at most risk for deletion. Of course, once it is installed on your device you won’t have to worry.
Users can also look for games with a Mario style, which feature completely different characters, such as Lep’s World 2 .
We urge Android users to avoid downloading iOS emulators or any software claiming to be a Super Mario Run APK.
