Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia will release in North America on May 19 and it seems that the Japanese version (launching April 20) has leaked revealing some interesting story beats and features, including the possibility of a new amiibo.
According to the files and gamers sifting through them, there seems to be a female Corrin amiibo making its way to the rumored Super Smash Bros. game for the Nintendo Switch.
In Shadows of Valentia , Fire Emblem character amiibo from the Super Smash Bros. series can be tapped into the game and used to help players in maps by recruiting those characters as shadow versions of themselves. In the Shadows of Valentia leak, there are shadow versions of the male and female versions of Corrin.

Of course, the only way to get Corrin into the game is by tapping their Super Smash Bros. amiibo into the game. However, the Corrin amiibo, which was announced over a year ago, has yet to be released and is expected to launch when the Nintendo Switch port of Super Smash Bros. is released.
A female Corrin coming to Shadows of Valentia, seems to suggest there will be two separate amiibo for Corrin. Perhaps the gender of Corrin will be taken from the file saved onto your amiibo when you play Super Smash Bros. It’s still unclear.
Last month a report revealed at least one new amiibo from the Super Smash Bros. series will be released this year; this separate female Corrin amiibo may just be it.
