Spoilers for Supergirl Season 2 episode 8, “Medusa,” ahead.
Supergirl will be fighting The Dominators from Central City during the “Invasion!” crossover, but The Dominators will eventually make their way to her Earth. According to ComicBook.com, Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg told reporters during a screening of the crossover today in Los Angeles, “This is not the last you see of the Dominators" and they will “return on Supergirl later this season.”
The “Invasion!”crossover officially started on Supergirl tonight, but there was barely any crossover. Barry and Cisco didn’t speak on the looming alien attack threatening Earth-1. While we didn’t see it happen in “Medusa,” we know Supergirl will travel to the Arrowverse tomorrow night on The Flash to help Arrow and the Legends defeat The Dominators, an alien group seeking to eliminate metahumans and harvest he metagene for their own uses.
However, when asked if the “Invasion!” crossover will have an effect on Supergirl moving forward, Kreisberg said it won’t. It appears Kara will come into contact with The Dominators in a different way, maybe where they aren’t invading Earth-1 to kill everyone.
"It doesn't really have that big an impact,” Kreisberg said to ComicBook.com. "She's the one who brought the light. It was really Barry and Oliver who had to go on the journey and she brought the charm and the fun and the kick-ass-ness."
What do you think The Dominators want with Kara later in the season? Let us know in the comments below. The "Invasion!" crossover event starts with The Flash Season 3 episode 8 Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
