RECAP: Supergirl Season 2 Episode 14, “Homecoming”
Kara wakes up before Mon-El and brings him flowers. They get to the DEO, then Kara and Martian Manhunter go on a mission where they end up coincidentally rescuing Jeremiah Danvers. Mon-El tells Kara it’s fishy that after 15 years hidden in CADMUS, Jeremiah just so happened to appear amid the threat of a bomb that CADMUS designed using the energy they forced Supergirl to give them from her heat vision. Everyone gets pissy at Mon-El for thinking that and they all host a party for Jeremiah's return. Jeremiah kicks Mon-El out and tells him he knows his secret, presumably that he’s the Prince of Daxam.
Mon-El meets Winn at a bar and asks for help to spy on Jeremiah at the DEO. Winn snoops, and catches Jeremiah breaking into the DEO mainframe. Jeremiah avoids further questioning after using some lame excuse and J’onn J’onzz gives him back his job at the DEO. After the bomb appears on Winn’s satellite, the team goes on a mission to find CADMUS’ bomb, but arrive at an empty warehouse. J’onn J’onzz realizes Jeremiah is acting suspicious and tries to read his mind, but can’t. He follows Jeremiah down to the control room where he discovers Jeremiah has been enhanced, like Hank Henshaw. Jeremiah knocks out Martian Manhunter with his super-hand, and escapes with a list of all aliens in National City.
Thankfully, Winn thought ahead and put a tracker on Jeremiah. They catch up with him, but must go up against Lillian Luthor and Hank Henshaw. CADMUS traps Supergirl by blowing up the train tracks, forcing her to save the passengers instead. Alex gets close enough to Jeremiah to shoot him with her special weapon, but when it comes down to it, she can’t do it. Meanwhile, Lillian Luthor and Jeremiah are planning to use some huge spaceship tucked away in CADMUS. “Soon, the Earth will be free forever,” Luthor says.
Cliffhanger: Is Jeremiah Danvers the real Cyborg Superman? Until now, we thought Hank Henshaw was Cyborg Superman (though he’s never been called that in the series). But in the trailer for “Exodus” next week, Lillian Luthor puts her hand on Jeremiah's shoulder and says, “You are the only Superman we need.”
The Flash Season 3 episode 14, “Attack on Central City,” airs tomorrow, Tuesday, at 8 p.m. Check back for our recap.
