Tactics Ogre: Reborn is now available on PC through Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. This reimagined edition of a beloved tactical RPG offers converted HD graphics and updated battle systems. There are also sound improvements like the fully-voiced cutscenes for both English and Japanese, recreated sound effects, and re-recorded live background music composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto. This new experience is sure to be a treat to veterans of the series and the new generation of players.
A Standard Digital Edition is available for console and PC versions, while a Standard Physical Edition is offered for consoles. There’s also a Digital Premium Edition for all platforms that comes with the base game and the Tactics Ogre: Reborn original soundtrack.
The game is set in The Valerian Isles, also known as jewels of the Obero Sea. After years of conflict, Dorgalua Oberyth or the “Dynast-King” finally put an end to it. He was able to bring peace and prosperity to Valeria for 50 years. However, after his death, a civil war erupts and once again puts the isles of Valeria in a struggle for power between three factions.
The story follows a young man, Denam Pavel, who’s been caught in the middle of the bloodshed. While he seeks a path of freedom and justice, players later learn that even the noblest of goals requires impossibly difficult decisions.
With this classic tactical role-playing adventure, players immerse themselves fully in the world and intrigue of Tactics Ogre. In Tactics Ogre: Reborn, players control a team of units on the battlefield and use a turn-based combat system. Strategy is key to get the upper hand over the enemy. As players progress, they recruit additional party members and experiment with various classes, weapons, magic, and abilities. They also need to make key decisions at several instances in the story that ultimately impact how events unfold.
