The World Showdown of Esports 6 features Dota 2, and is scheduled for April 13-14 at the PokerGo Studio in Las Vegas. WSOE6 is hosted by Richard Lewis.
Four invited teams will go head-to-head in the tournament and get the chance to go against World Showdown of Esports: the Dota 2 Showdown champion Team Serenity.
The four teams are Infamous, J.Storm, Team Team, and gg. The challenger bracket follows a double elimination format, with matches played in a best-of three excpet for the championship match, which is a best-of seven. Making the tournament exciting is the hope that J.Storm finishes on top of the challenger bracket in order to once again battle it out with Team Serenity. J.Storm was the first runner-up at WSOE1.
Prior to the Championship match, the three eliminated teams play against each other in a Dota 2 Auto Chess tournament.
The tournament can be watched on the official WSOE Twitch account, with matches expected to begin April 13 at 12:30 p.m. EST.
After the tournament, J.Storm is heading to India for the ESL One Mumbai 2019. The Group Stages for the ESL One Mumbai begin April 16. Outside WSOE, Team Serenity has yet to make headway in other tournaments. The team was not able to get through the DreamLeague Season 11 China Qualifier.
