A new trailer has been released by Square Enix for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion. It offers what could be described as the most comprehensive look so far at the game. There’s no question that this is a must-watch if you’re a fan of Final Fantasy VII.
The story is set seven years before the events of Final Fantasy VII. It follows a young Shinra SOLDIER operative by the name of Zack Fair. As his adventure unfolds, Zack starts to learn more about the dark secrets of the experiments being done by Shinra and the monsters created.
Before we talk more about the game, you can watch the new trailer below:
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is coming out December 13 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
This upcoming launch marks 15 years since the PlayStation Portable-exclusive original game was released. The game offers a complete HD graphics overhaul along with a newly arranged soundtrack and fully-voiced dialogue available in English and Japanese. Players can also look forward to experiencing the updated combat system.
Pre-Order Now
Digital pre-orders are now live on all platforms and those who pre-order the digital version receive the SOLDIER Materia Set. This set allows three materia, Dark Fire, Dark Thunder, and Dark Blizzard, to be available early in the game. These materia enable the use of attack spells that inflict "Poison" and "Silence" status ailments in addition to the respective elemental damage.
Players can also pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition which not only has the base game but also the mini soundtrack that showcases the game’s powerful music and a digital art book filled with gorgeous illustrations.
Action Figure
While these pre-order bonuses are indeed cool, the Japanese Collector's Edition has an additional freebie and it’s a high-quality action figure of the protagonist Zack. This edition is available exclusively over at the Square Enix Store.
However, you can actually buy the action figure separately. Here’s a brief description of the product:
- The 2nd Class SOLDIER’s innocent and youthful facial expression, sturdy physique, and distinctive hairstyle are instantly recognizable from his early days in SOLDIER.
- The costume was sculpted so that the metallic texture of the shoulder and midsection armor, along with the contrasting wrinkled soft texture of the knitwear and trousers, could each be distinctly felt.
- The included sword can be held in his hand or carried on his back, allowing for the recreation of various scenes, whether depicting Zack in battle or standing.
The Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Play Arts Kai Action Figure – Zack Fair Soldier 2nd Class is being offered at $154.99. Learn more about this product.
