Twitch has teamed up with AMP Energy to create a new drink made for streamers and their late-night gaming binges. The new beverage, which comes in a Twitch purple can, is tropical punch flavored.

“AMP Energy is excited to launch yet another great tasting energy drink – the new Tropical Punch flavor in a Twitch purple, co-branded can, taking our commitment to the eSports world one step further,” Sonika Patel, senior manager of marketing at AMP Energy, said in a press release. “AMP is dedicated to bringing forth the best flavor options so fans and gamers can enjoy the great taste of their energy drinks while they fuel up.”

AMP Tropical Punch is available right now, exclusively at 7-Eleven stores. (Make sure you also grab a Slurpee and a hot dog while you’re there.)

After tasting the new AMP flavor, I can honestly say that it’s pretty good. And I’m a guy who has reviewed more than 150 beverages. The tropical punch is very sweet, but it doesn’t really become overbearing (especially when the drink is still cold). It may sound funny, but I’ve come to the conclusion that it tastes very “red.” For those who love candy and other snack foods, you know what I mean. The “energy” kick is also pretty strong, but nothing more intense than any other can of AMP.

iDigitalTimes has also been gifted a gigantic AMP Energy can, which can be filled up with beverage and used to drink hands-free. It’s truly a gift from the gaming gods. To see the big can in action, check out the iDigitalTimes Twitch channel on Monday, Aug. 29 at 8 p.m. while we play the latest Fallout 4 DLC, Nuka-World.

So what do you think? Are you interested in trying out the new flavor of AMP Energy? What do you think an authentic “Twitch” flavor would actually taste like? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
