Are you ready for two uninspiring cards from Hearthstone: Whispers of the Old Gods? First off we have Cult Apothecary; a five mana 4/4 neutral that’s Battlecry gives your hero two health for each enemy minion. This card is bad on so many different levels. Its stats are atrocious, 4/4 for five mana is one of the worst curves I have ever seen. It has stats on par with Junkbot, but at least that heap of trash can buff itself.

The cultists’ ability is hogwash. You get to heal two health per enemy minion, so it’s entirely dependent on your opponent’s play. It isn’t a good reactionary effect because the reward it gives is so miniscule. Mind Control Tech isn’t a good card, but at least it punishes the opponent for making plays, like a good reactionary card. Antique Healbot costs the same, and has one less point in attack and health, but you are guarranteed to heal for eight. Your opponent needs to have four minions for Cult Apothecary to heal the same. It’s not worth the extra mana, even with the cool card art.

Now we get a corrupted version of King Mukla from a French streamer, Torlk, called Mukla, Tyrant of the Vale. He’s a six mana 5/5 legendary thats Battlecry adds two Bannanas to your hand. I thought Tentacle Arms was bad but think monkey really takes the cake. He has bad stats and a bad effect, all for way to much mana. The original King is a middle of the road card, giving your opponents buffs while you get a large minion for relatively little mana. Bannanas are kind of bad, like Explorer’s Hats that cost less. I can’t think of any time I would use Mukla, Tyrant of the Vale, over any other six mana card, alright maybe Reckless Rocketeer.
