A new trailer has just been released for the upcoming game Unravel. In this video, we see the inspiration behind the main character Yarny. You can check out the trailer for yourself below.
Just watching that trailer, you know you are going to end up crying at some point while playing Unravel. I mean, it's seemingly inevitable.
Alongside the trailer, Unravel's creator, Martin Sahlin, also released a new blog post. In the post, Sahlin is excited to see people connecting with Yarny like he hoped they would. "I really wanted Yarny to be brave, and to accomplish great things despite being so small," Sahlin wrote in his post. "I hoped when we were making the game that Yarny would be empathetic and relatable, and based on your support, I can see that Yarny is already reaching people."
In case you don't know, Unravel is a puzzle game where players take on the role of Yarny. Using yarn, players must traverse across the landscapes of Northern Scandinavia. While no words will be said during the game, the story will feature Yarny helping a family reconnect with each other. Like I said, real tear-jerking stuff right here.
Unravel will be coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC on Feb. 9. Pre-orders are available now for $19.99.
