Valorant is a first-person shooter developed by Riot Games. Every agent in Valorant is unique and, if their abilities are mastered, can be very dangerous. That said, Omen is a really difficult agent to master. You need really good map knowledge for using his abilities. Omen is useful on every map, but he can shine on Haven the most. Haven is a huge map, with tons of flank potential. If Omen is used right he can always get entries and stop enemies from retaking sites.
Omen is an agent that relies quite a bit on intel and some distraction. Your main objective as Omen is to block enemy vision for your teammates to pass through. Omen has four special abilities: Dark Cover, Shrouded Step, Paranoia, and From The Shadows.
Dark Cover:
Omen’s first ability is Dark Cover. The ability helps you create a long lasting sphere that blocks vision. The ability has a long range as well, which can help your team get an advantage over the other team. Using this ability with your ultimate is the best combination.
Shrouded Step:
Omen’s second ability is Shrouded Step. This is another simple ability that allows you to teleport short distances. The only drawback with this ability is you have to be in line of sight to where you teleport. This can be an easy way to reach higher ledges where usually only Jett or Sage can reach. Using this ability during a gunfight can be a disadvantage to you, as the animation takes a while and you are vulnerable while it plays.
Paranoia:
Omen’s third ability is Paranoia. This ability allows you to deploy a shadow projectile ahead of you which blinds any enemy who touches it. It can also pass through walls, which is very useful. You can use this ability before crossing a corner, so you can pick off enemies while they are blind. The ability is super easy to use and doesn’t require much effort to learn as well.
From The Shadows:
Omen’s ultimate ability is From The Shadows. This ability takes up seven ultimate orbs to use and allows Omen to teleport anywhere on the map. This ability is best used for flanking and you can use this to distract the enemy. But if enemies spot you, they can shoot the teleport location and it will cancel your teleport. You have to be super careful and calculate your timing to teleport to a certain location.
