Jesus is known to be extremely intelligent and tactical, possess superior combat skills as well as an escape artist.
A New Frontier’s full launch trailer debuted on Dec. 11 and we’re here to give you the breakdown and what you’ll need to know before its release next week.
A New Frontier Launch Trailer
Beginning in an overgrown land full of walkers, we start with Javier waking up from flashbacks after he was knocked unconscious. According to Clementine, who was by Javier’s side when woke up, there’s a mean group that calls themselves the “New Frontier.”
“They used to be decent people. Now they’re something else,” Clementine said.
If you haven’t seen The Walking Dead TV series, spoilers and speculation begin here in relation to the The Walking Dead Telltale Game.
From having watched The Walking Dead TV series, A New Frontier seems to be a play on words, the “New Frontier” is actually group of people but it’s also a way to describe crossing into new unfamiliar territory. Now this is just speculation, but it’s too good not to mention – the New Frontier folks seem comparable to the first gang that rushed Alexandria back in Season 5, who were called “The Wolves.” They were a crazy bunch that took pleasure in carving a ‘W’ onto walkers’ decaying skulls.
In Season 5 of The Walking Dead TV series, Rick, Daryl and Carol take out a walker with a ‘W’ carved into its skull. For those that have seen the TV series, during season five’s midseason premiere, we see “Wolves Not Far” painted on a wall leading to up to Noah’s community in Richmond. Remember Noah? Good kid, sad ending. Well in the Telltale trailer of A New Frontier, we hear Javier yell, “Get her to Richmond!” in hopes to bring his family to safety without knowing who the “New Frontier” actually are. Could the “New Frontier” be a parallel to “The Wolves”? We’ll have to wait and see.
As we get closer to The Walking Dead - The Telltale Series: A New Frontier Season three launch, there’s a few things you’ll need to know about how can players pick up where they left off in the series or if it’s worth it to start over. We’ve provided details on how to do both.
The Walking Dead: A New Frontier will be a fresh start for continuing players but will also be a new beginning for players that haven’t experienced season one and season two of the Telltale series. Players continuing from the seasons prior will have a few options for getting their season one and two backstories tailored for season three.
Note: Our fellow PS3 and Xbox 360 owners and their saves will not be accommodated because The Walking Dead: A New Frontier will not be available on PS3 or Xbox 360. Telltale advises those on the last-generation consoles to go the “Story Generator” route. Personally, I’m in this situation and the solution is to replay the entire series on whichever device you choose (PS4, Xbox One, or PC) in order to pick up season three tailored to your decisions.
Telltale games has released the steps to import your save files from various platforms. The save file details can be found in more detail on Telltale’s website but we’ll give you a quick overview.
At the start of the game, players will have the option to start a “New Story” or “Continue Story,” so for those that have not played, feel free to start over and start off with Clementine. Her prior journey will be tailored for “New Story,” which is totally alone with baby AJ (from prior seasons).
For those that want to continue the story and have save files from Season One and Two then read carefully; Telltale has offered two options:
1. Story Generator: Players will be asked a series of questions that will help tailor the story to the style of player you are and the type of Clementine you were. By answering a series of questions, this helps tailor the story of Season three. Onto option 2.
2. Using your season two save game: if you’re playing on the same device you’ll have the option to import your save game. Easy right?
Now, if you want to play on a different device but still have your previous season two saves, Season Two has recently been updated on all platforms to include the “Telltale Cloud Saves,” which means an update is required and you’ll need a Telltale Account if you don’t have one already.
What you’ll do next is enable Cloud Saves, upload your Season Two save game to the cloud launch Season Three. Make sure you’re logged into your Telltale account and download the cloud save. Your story will then transfer to the new device and you can pick up your story from Season Two.
Basically, if you’re transferring from PS3 to PS4 or from Xbox 360 to Xbox One, this is the way to go. Telltale will be releasing a video of a step-by-step how-to in detail.
