Yet another award ceremony has arrived. Sunday, May 22 marks the 2016 Billboard Music Awards, which honors its recipients based on “fan interaction” data. That means album sales, streaming numbers and social media influence is measured for success, soooo basically it’s the same exact thing as the Grammys. Just kidding. Ludacris and Ciara will be hosting the 2016 Billboard Awards, not kidding about that! They’ll be joined by a slew of A-List presenters and musical performances. So, how do you watch this thing? Here’s how to live stream the 2016 Billboard Music Awards online:
Head over to ABC.com or ABC’s official mobile app. From there, you can watch the Billboard Music Awards for free by logging in with your TV provider. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to access the ceremony without a subscription, but there is hope! Last year, Billboard and Hulu live streamed the Billboard Music Awards online. Keep your eyes posted for a video as the evening wears on.
Of course, the easiest way to watch the 2016 Billboard Music Awards is on television. The program airs on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.
In terms of presenters, Wiz Khalifa, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Kristen Bell, Jessica Alba, Keke Palmer, Idina Menzel, Steven Tyler, Lindsey Vonn, Pete Wentz and many more are expected to hand out Billboard Awards on Sunday.
But the real reason you’re tuning in – other than to see some potential celebrity drama – is to watch your favorite artists perform in concert. Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Celine Dion, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Fifth Harmony, Joe Jonas' DNCE, Pink, Shawn Mendes, the Go Go's and Meghan Trainor will take the stage. But wait, there’s more! Madonna will be performing a much-needed Prince tribute. Britney Spears is being honored with the Millennium Award and will open with a medley of her top hits. And all eyes will be on Kesha, who will perform following a much-publicized sexual assault lawsuit with record producer Dr. Luke.
The stage is set for a memorable evening, to say the least. Stay tuned for updates.
