Bethesda Softworks dropped the official story trailer for its upcoming game Wolfenstein: Youngblood. This first-person shooter is set for release in July 2019.
The story for Wolfenstein: Youngblood is set twenty years after Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Nazi Germany has won the Second World War and William Joseph "B.J." Blazkowicz is doing all he can to end the Nazi global dominance. Unfortuntately, Blazkowicz has gone missing. Blazkowicz's twin daughters Jess and Soph go on a quest to find him and a clue leads them to Paris.
The game offers a single-player and cooperative multiplayer mode. Under the co-op mode, players can play the game with another player or with an AI Partner.
Youngblood also offers new RPG mechanics, with players being able to unlock and access new weapon attachments, new abilities, or new cosmetics, among many others. Players can use the Dieselkraftwerk, Laserkraftwerk, or Shickhammer, now known as Kugelgewehr.
The game is being developed as collaboration between MachineGames and Arkane Studios.
MachineGames Game Director Jerk Gustafsson said that working with Arkane "is a great example of how we can be stronger as part of the ZeniMax family.” Arkane Game Director Dinga Bakaba, meanwhile, said that Youngblood is "a unique chance to bring an Arkane touch to the Wolfenstein IP, and we’ve been able to gather some learnings from one of the most talented studios in the world in the process.”
The Standard Edition of Wolfenstein: Youngblood is priced at $29.99, with the Deluxe Edition at $39.99. The Deluxe Edition includes a Buddy Pass. This allows players to partner with a friend, even if that same person does not have a copy of the game. As long as the two are playing together, the friend can play for free. While the Buddy Pass is only good for one friend at one time, it can be reused multiple times.
The Deluxe Edition also offers the Cyborg Skin Pack, which has a new skin for the twins’ Power Suits, guns, combat knives and hatchets.
Players who pre-order the game get the Legacy Pack which includes:

- The Wolfenstein: Old Blood Pipe
