With the introduction of new game mechanics coming to the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG with the release of the new anime series, Konami has released the forbidden and limited list that goes into effect starting March 31, 2017.

There are a lot of changes to the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG with this new list and powerful cards are making a comeback. Brionac the powerful Synchro monster returns as a limited card, while spells/traps like Brain Control, Future Fusion and Imperial Order are now allowed in the Advanced format.

The aforementioned game mechanics that come with the introduction of Link summoning has slowed down summoning from the Extra Deck and limited how many Extra Deck monsters can be on the field at one time. While there are ways around it (namely special summoning them from the graveyard after they are destroyed) these returning cards were likely taken off the forbidden list to help duelists summon them faster.

Here are the changes coming to the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG and check out the entire Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Forbidden and Limited list starting March, 31 2017, here.
