In Ace Angler: Fishing Spirits, players are introduced to an aquarium-themed amusement park known as Marine Medal Mania. Here, they can explore and experience exciting games from five unique attractions.
In a statement, Bandai Namco Entertainment Producer Yayoi Tomidokoro shared that they’re happy to bring the game for the first time to console players in the Americas. He added that the game introduces the spirit of fishing competition to video games where players can play against family and friends in fun casual modes or compete online with fishers worldwide.
The game modes available in Ace Angler: Fishing Spirits are:
- Ace Angler +, The Fishing Medal Game
- Experience this arcade version at home with a maximum of four players.
- In this one, players can mimic the use of fishing rods to catch fish with the Joy–Cons of Nintendo Switch.
- Story Mode: Legend of the Poisoned Seas
- Players are challenged with traveling around the world and rescuing the oceans from poison and garbage for future generations.
- By clearing time sensitives, players not only get to advance the story but also learn fascinating facts about actual marine life.
- Online Ultimate Angler Competition
- Join in online fishing battles where up to four people can catch fish, collect stars for each victory earned, and aim to be the Ultimate Angler.
- Ace Angler Party
- This mode features 12 marine-themed party games.
- It also offers other fishing competitions where players compete to catch the heaviest or most valuable fish.
- Medal Pusher Game: Shark Fever
- In this mode, the goal is to catch a great white shark.
- To do that, players need to knock down five balls to trigger a Shark Battle and receive many Medals.
