Angry Birds Tips Tricks, Cheats And Strategies Guide
Part 1: Birds
The first thing you’ll notice in Angry Birds Evolution is that it is chock full of birds to unlock and add to you team. But which birds should you choose to populate your team? Initially you are best served by placing your highest ranked birds on your team. Birds range from 1 to 5 star rating and the more stars the more power you bring to your team. In the beginning it’s best to pick the birds with the most stars to populate your team, but later making a winning team will be a combination of planning and playing style.
Tips For Choosing The Best Birds
- Get To Know Bird Skills - As mentioned above, birds come with specific star ratings, but they also come in specific colors and with specific skill sets. If you tap on your team, you’ll be brought to a screen that shows all the birds in your collection. Take some time to read what each birds’ specific skills are. You’ll notice, depending on their color, they tend to similar special skills. For example:
- Yellow Birds – dash through enemies plus adds something else special like pulling enemies toward it, gathering power ups or dealing damage over time.
- Red Birds – kick or throw and things for big impact and splash damage.
- Black Birds – use explosives and deals damage to multiple enemies within a certain radius of the blast.
- White Birds– freeze and blast a bunch of enemies in a line.
Once you’ve gotten familiar with their various skills, try some different ones in battle to see which perform best with your playing style.
- Try To Use Birds Of The Same Color – players have a lot of freedom when it comes to developing a team, but in order to make your most powerful combo, it’s best to try to use as many of one color as you can. When two or more birds of the same color appear on a team, those birds get a 30% boost to their attack. If you find a bird you love playing with that doesn’t fit the color of the rest of your team, it won’t hurt to add it, just make an effort to place two or more of the same color on your team.
- Save Upgrades For Higher Star Birds – Early in the game, you may be tempted to upgrade some one star birds, but I would hold off. The more you play, you’ll be winning and cracking open tons of eggs with much higher stars. Try not to waste your resources on low-level birds. A one star bird at level 9 is weaker than a two star bird at level 1 so you can see how much of a waste it is.
- Grind Up Those One Star Birds – This tip goes with the one above. Once you’ve unlocked some 2-5 star birds, don’t feel bad about sacrificing your one star birds for upgrades on your more powerful ones. It helps to keep your inventory down, which can become quite crowded if you don’t.
Part 2: Currency
In Angry Birds Evolution you have several different currency types used for different things in the game. In this section, we’ll discuss each currency type, what it’s used for and tips for getting more.
Coins: Tips And Cheats For Using And Getting More Of Them
So coins are a currency that is used mainly to level up your birds. While the game does offer a lot of opportunities to earn coins, in the beginning it seems hard to do. Here are a few of the best ways to get coins quickly.
- Hit More Spectator Pigs In Map Battles – Map battles earn you coins as you play, but if you make an effort to hit some of the spectator pigs that are watching the battle, they’ll drop coins as well
- Complete Timed Missions –At level 6, you’ll start noticing little clocks next to some of the pigs on the map battles. These are timed missions that require you to assign some of your birds to it for a certain amount of time. The more powerful your pigs, the higher the rewards are for the mission. Just keep in mind, if you assign some favorite pigs, you can’t use them until the mission is over
- Sell Some Spare Birds – There is the option to sell any bird in your collection, which will give you coins and some evolution material. I wouldn’t recommend selling birds unless you are trying to evolve a different one and need the upgrade material. To me, birds are more valuable to save for fusing and upgrading other birds.
- Fight Golden Pigs – These guys will start showing up around level 11 and when you win these battles, you’ll get a lot more gold. Just look for golden pigs to pop up occasionally after scouting an area.
- Fight Harder Battles – The more difficult the opponents you are battling on the map, the higher the rewards are, so keep moving forward.
- Perform Better In Tournaments – This of course is half luck as you can’t predict how you’ll do, but the better you finish, the more rewards you earn at the end of a PvP battle
Diamonds: Tips, Tricks And Cheats For Using And Getting More
Diamonds, like coins, are a premium currency used for purchasing more scouts refills, finishing upgrades when you are out of coins and other things in the game. While you can buy diamonds in the store, the game does give you a lot of ways to earn them as well.
- Check Out The Acheivements Tab - Some of the best ways are by checking out your achievements tab. It actually took me a while to find this, but if you go to the screen with your village where your clan house, hatchery and other buildings are, to the far left you’ll see the Collection building. Tap on it and you’ll get to a three-tab menu with Achievements, Birds in your collection and enemies you’ve encountered. You get gems for all of these, so check back often!
- Level Up In The Arena - Diamonds can also be won at the end of an Arena Season and the prizes are bigger the higher your rank at the end of the season.
- Max Out Timed Missions - If you assemble a team that completely fills the Timed Mission bar, you get both coins adn gems as a reward.
- Unlock The Gem Pig - At Level 15, you’ll also unlock the ability to search for the Gem pig, who is similar to the gold pig.
