The cold weather is almost here, but it’s not a problem since Animal Crossing; New Horizons is more than ready to welcome in a warm holiday cheer. There’s going to be a new, free update arriving on November 19 to start the new season.
In a statement, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Nick Chavez said that they are inviting “everyone to experience the holidays together with family and friends in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, along with your island residents bringing their unique seasonal cheer.” He went on to say that they are more than happy “for everyone to discover all the changes arriving to your islands during this holiday season.”
One thing that players can look forward to is Turkey Day. It’s going to be on November 26, and what’s going to happen is that first-class chef Franklin is set to host a gathering in the plaza. Players can help Franklin collect the ingredients that are needed to go in the dishes, and in return get a gift as a thank you.
There is also Toy Day that’s going to be celebrated on December 24, and sees Jingle arrives to the island. Help him deliver presents and receive a gift for yourself. That’s not all, because as the month of Toy Day nears, players are sure to notice that their island is starting to become more festive. In addition, from December 1 to December 25, players can buy toys from Nook’s Cranny as well as holiday-themed clothing over at the Able Sisters shop.
Then from December 26 until December 31, there’s also going to be some festive items arriving to celebrate New Year’s Eve. A countdown event is also set to start on December 31 at 7:00 PM.
