Apex Legends Emergence is going live in only a couple of hours. Season 10 will hit the servers today exactly at 1 p.m. EST. So get your squad ready and drop in on the new Decimated World's Edge. The new season brings rework of the old map, a new legend named Seer, and Ranked Arenas mode. Of course, a new Battle Pass will be available for purchase, which will give players more exclusive rewards. You can watch the Battle Pass trailer below.
New Legend - Seer
Seer is the 18th legend in Apex Legends. He belongs to the Recon class, which means he can scan survey beacons to find the next circle. His passive ability allows him to sense nearby heartbeats when he ADS’s his weapons. He is also the first legend who can ADS without an actual weapon.
Seer’s Tactical ability is a small delayed scan that reveals enemy location and their health bars. It will also interrupt whatever action they were doing, including healing. As you would expect, the Ultimate ability is the strongest feature of Seer. He can create a giant sphere that will reveal enemy locations whenever they fire their weapon or move quickly.
New Weapon - Rampage
Emergence is bringing a new weapon as well. Rampage is an LMG that uses heavy ammo. Its rate of fire is low, so it's ideal for mid-range combat. You can charge up the weapon by using a Thermite Grenade. A charged Rampage will have a higher rate of fire and can even destroy doors.
Emergence is also bringing several quality-of-life changes:
- Added a new badge: Win Streak. Can you get 2, 3, 4, or 5 wins in a row?
- Added a “Hold On” response to enemy pings.
- Added distinct sound effects to the Gold Backpack’s revive. VFX was added in the Chaos Theory update. This gives additional feedback when players are close to but not in line-of-sight of revives.
- Updated the Heirloom store to give players a better view of all the items related to that item.
- Updated Open Pack Button to show how many packs of each type are available to open. Highlighting the button shows a complete breakdown.
