With Season 7 approaching, Apex Legends fans are being bombarded new details on what to expect from the new season. Earlier today, Respawn Entertainment posted a 'Stories from the Outlands' trailer that shared an emotional tale on new Legend Horizon's history. Furthermore, prominent dataminer Biast12 shared a now-deleted character selection screenshot, which seemingly showed the character outlines for Blisk and Ash from the Titanfall series.
Now, there's more exciting news for fans, who have been hoping for a brand-new map. The news comes directly from Apex Legends' official website, which shared additional details about the new map called Olympus.
Olympus was teased back in Season 4 Assimilation. Later on, Seasonal trailers and loading screen images also shared new details on Olympus. There's not much that we know about Olympus as of now, except for what Respawn has mentioned. "Ascend to a beautiful, lush city in the clouds. Just watch your step -- it's a long way down to the planet below," the Apex website reads.
The website also contains more interesting information, including details on Horizon that says, "A brilliant astrophysicist who escaped a black hole and aims to use her newfound mastery of gravity to keep a promise." According to Respawn, Season 7 will also feature some type of vehicle called the Trident, which will help squads in covering ground faster in Olympus.
If you didn't already know, Apex Legends will also be coming to Steam with the launch of Season 7 Ascension. The devs at Respawn are also introducing a new feature called Clubs that lets players "find like-minded players, build a community, and rise together." Finally, a brand-new Battle Pass, featuring over 100 exclusive cosmetics, Apex Packs, and more, will also be a part of Season 7.
Apex Legends is free-to-play on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game is also in development for the Nintendo Switch.
