Apex Legends is coming to Nintendo Switch on March 9. Once the game is officially launched to the platform, it’s going to support cross-platform play, letting Switch players join matches of other platforms.
The Switch even offers full feature parity with PC and console versions of the game. It also brings with it the latest seasonal content.
Respawn Entertainment said that being able to port the game was truly a major achievement. They’re also happy to be able to do some smart optimizations to make sure that Switch players get the full game experience.
During the first two weeks of launch, Switch players get to earn double XP. Switch players also get 30 levels for free on their Season 8 Battle Pass.
Season 8
While Season 8 just started, it’s already accessible for Nintendo Switch. It’s still a good deal considering a lot of new content is available. There’s the new hero Fuse, for example, that new players can try. Another reason is the new weapon called the 30-30 repeater. Of course, the biggest change is found in the Kings Canyon.

Anniversary Event
Unfortunately, Switch players won’t be able to enjoy the recently launched anniversary event. That’s because it’s only until February 23. There are three big things in the event, yet the primary is the Anniversary Collection Event. Players can enjoy Locked and Loaded, which joins the normal Play Apex playlist. Apex Legends is a free-to-play game in the battle royale genre. It was released in February 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. What made this launch different is that there was no announcement or even marketing beforehand. The crossplay support was released more than a year later, in October 2020. Apart from the release on Nintendo Switch this year, versions for the mobile platform are planned to be launched in late 2022.
