Ark: Survival Evolved on PS4 has a brand new update. The patch, numbered 1.10, offers crash fixes and major memory allocation adjustments, according to Studio Wildcard’s community manager.
While a formal changelog isn't yet available at this time, tweets should fill players in on what to expect. The “PlayStation update that just dropped has some crash fixes and massive memory improvements,” Jat wrote earlier today. There was also an issue tied to Player Dedicated Server crashes that has specifically been resolved as well.
The PS4 version of Ark: Survival Evolved has suffered from chronic blue screen bugs since close to the title’s initial platform release. Small patches like this one have been dispatched several times over the past few weeks to stamp out the issue once and for all.
Talking of things a bit further down the Ark console pipeline, it’s also been reconfirmed that the PC’s v254 Tek Tier update is still scheduled to release Feb. 14 across PS4 and Xbox One. There may be an additional surprise or two in honor of Valentine’s Day, but the studio has not yet decided how the holiday will play out.
The Tek Tier update released at the end of January on PC. It brought four new Dinos, hairstyle options and a whole bunch of endgame gear for truly skilled players. When it comes to PS4 and Xbox One next week, those same features are assumed to be in place.
Ark: Survival Evolved is available now on PC, Xbox One, PS4, OS X and Linux.
