You know the drill. Every episode of Arrow starts with a speech from Oliver Queen. Since the intros of each season are so iconic to the series, fans often ask series star Stephen Amell to recite them at comic cons. But not this time. At Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in New Jersey, Amell said he couldn’t recite the Arrow Season 6 intro speech because it contains a huge spoiler.
“Just before we get to another question, everyone always asks me if I will do the Arrow intro. I have to tell you, I can’t do it this year for a very specific reason. Me doing the Arrow intro is probably the biggest spoiler I could possibly drop about the show. Sorry. I will get in so much trouble.”
The reason why the intro speech could have senstive material is becuase Arrow Season 5 left on such a cliffhanger. The well-being of every character except for Oliver and his son William is unknown. The voluntary reveal about not being able to give away the intro speech is classic pre-premiere shenanigans from Stephen Amell. While he didn’t reveal any spoilers, this prospect of the new intro always gets fans excited.
Amell also said the Season 5 finale has so much impact that he’s not sure the series will ever be able to match the intensity until the series finale, which he hopes will be as far away as Supernatural’s.
"A lot of people are talking about how intense the finale was and the fact that it is the end of this five year journey. I don’t know if we'll ever be able to match that intensity until whatever the series finale is in terms of emotional gravity."
Amell and co-star David Ramsey both teased their characters will be distraught in the Season 6 premiere, Dig especially, but there’s still no clues as to how Team Arrow is going to get out of this jam and what exactly the devastating effects will be.

“My name is Oliver Queen. After five years in hell, I returned home with only one goal: to save my city. Today I fight that war on two fronts. By day, I lead Star City as its mayor. By night, I am someone else. I am something else. I am the Green Arrow.”
