Stephen Amell revealed at Heroes and Villains in Nashville that a character we haven't’ seen since Arrow Season 1 will return in Season 6. The host, ComicBook.com’s Brandon Davis, asked about Oliver’s living arrangements for the new season. This was Amell’s response.
"I will break the news." Amell revealed. "Oliver has an apartment this year, and we have somebody returning to the show this year that we have not seen since season one."
The biggest hint here is the fact this character is somehow associated with Oliver’s apartment, which in turn, probably has something to do with his newfound fatherhood. And considering his son William’s mother may or may not be out of the picture after Lian Yu exploded with the entirety of Oliver’s loved ones on it, he may need some help around the house.
This brings fans to believe the character could be Raisa, played Kathleen Gati, the Queen family’s maid. Whether or not this speculation ends up true come Season 6 premiere remains to be seen, but fatherhood is definitely an arc Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim expects to pursue.
“This season, we’re trying to give you a different version of Oliver,” EP Marc Guggenheim says.
“Because of the journey he went on in season 5, he finally got to a place where he was ready to follow everyone’s advice and discard the past and move on with his life,” Guggenheim told Entertainment Weekly. “The Oliver Queen that you’ll meet in 601, he’s still the Oliver you know and sometimes love, but he has a different sense of himself… In season 6, I think you’ll see Oliver giving the people in his life the advice for a change. He’s been through five years of being this superhero and he went through five years of hell before that, so he’s got 10 years of very heavy experience to start to bring to bare, and that’s something we’re interested in seeing more of a mentoring Oliver as the various people in his life face their challenges.”
