One of the key features of "Assassin's Creed Shadows" is the option to choose between two different main characters to use, but Ubisoft has a lot more in the bag for a more fitting experience for fans.
The developers have now teased the upcoming game's weapon customization feature coming with "Shadows," making it a first for the gaming franchise.
Ubisoft Unveils Weapon Customization Feature for 'Assassin's Creed Shadows'
The world is only counting the days before they step into the shadows and experience the latest story set in Ubisoft's most iconic franchise, and the company is now teasing a major feature to enjoy once it arrives.
According to the latest post by "Assassin's Creed" on X, the upcoming game features a new weapon customization feature that players may take advantage of.
The latest customization tool centers on utilizing the "transmog" feature that will allow players to mix and match different looks and appearances of their weapon to be used during combat. It was revealed that this feature will be enjoyed by both the characters of Yasuke and Naoe, with the teaser only showing off a katana undergoing customization.

Players who want to go the extra mile may set their preferred weapon look for every fight, mission, or occasion in the game. According to GameRant's report, Ubisoft claimed that the weapon customization feature will be available for the other weapons that the two main characters may equip in the game.
This latest feature comes alongside the base-building feature of "Assassin's Creed Shadows" where players may customize and tweak their hideouts based on their preferred look, inching closer to its promise of a somewhat open-world experience.
Tweak Your Weapons to Match Your Playstyle in 'AC Shadows'
In the video from Ubisoft, it was revealed that players may customize their katana's blade, guard, handle, and saya to complete their preferred look. The game has not yet revealed what other weapons may be tweaked in the game, but it will help focus their playstyle with this new transmogrification option.
Speculations claim that players may naturally unlock more weapons to customize in the game's story progression while undergoing a character-shared development for their chosen protagonists.
Players are now awaiting the release of "Assassin's Creed Shadows" this March 20 after facing multiple delays from Ubisoft. The company previously asked for more time to work on its final touches in the past months.
The game was originally set to be released last year but initially extended its wait time to Valentine's 2025 before it was delayed yet again to March.
