Assassin's Creed Valhalla is currently the hot topic of conversation among Assassin's Creed fans. The game was announced two weeks ago via an ambitious cinematic trailer, and was followed by an in-game trailer that debuted during the Inside Xbox event. Even though not everything has been revealed about the anticipated game, Ubisoft has confirmed some great news for the Xbox Series X.
At the recent Inside Xbox event, fans got a sneak peek at Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Even though the short clip did not live up to the hype, it sure did show how impressive Valhalla is going to look. The game's listing on various platforms did not indicate toward hardware ray tracing or 60 frames-per-second, but Ubisoft has confirmed that the game will run at 4K, 30 FPS on the upcoming Xbox Series X.
Now, fans might be wondering how a next-gen console cannot manage 4K at 60 FPS. We have something for those of you. Even the powerful RTX 2080Ti that is powered by 13.45 TFLOPs hardly manages 60 FPS at 4K when running Assassin's Creed Odyssey. So, it is quite surprising that the Xbox Series X has the power to handle AAA titles at 4K and 30 FPS.
In an interview with Eurogamer Portugal, Ubisoft said that the company is always looking for opportunities to explore new technologies and take advantage of powerful hardware that enables them to deliver a mindblowing gaming experience.
The company went on to say that Assassin's Creed Valhalla will run at 30 FPS on the Xbox Series X and the game will also benefit from the faster loading time tech.
If the game can run at 4K, and at 30 FPS, the Xbox Series X can easily manage 1080P at 60 FPS. It would also be great to see the option to choose what resolution a player wants to experience the game, creating a balance between performance and quality.
