Attack on Titan Season 2 has just begun, and now it seems the Toonami block of programming on Adult Swim will also get in on the Titan madness when the anime premieres on Toonami starting April 29.
Jason DeMarco, creative director of Adult Swim, confirmed over Twitter -- via Toonami News -- that the advert during the April 1 edition of Toonami for Attack on Titan Season 2 was not an April Fools’ joke.
On April 1, Toonami surprised fans by airing the Season 3 premiere of Rick and Morty from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. instead of the latest episodes of Samurai Jack and Dragon Ball Super , as part of their April Fools’ Day celebration.
However, the aforementioned advert could have been misconstrued as part of the joke but thankfully DeMarco confirmed that it wasn’t.
The second season of AoT is currently being simulcast on both Funimation and Crunchyroll.
Attack on Titan Season 2 will join an impressive block of anime programming on Toonami as the final season of Samurai Jack , the premiere of Dragon Ball Super , Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapter and Tokyo Ghoul are all new to Toonami, with anime anchors like Naruto and Gundam rounding out the block of programming.
