Batman is dead and Gotham City is now in trouble. See if you have what it takes to protect the city as Gotham Knights is finally out! This new open-world and third-person action RPG is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, or the Xbox Series X/S. The game lets you take on the action solo or play with a friend through a two-player online co-op.
Gotham Knights features four playable characters from the Batman Family:
- Batgirl
- Secret Identity: Barbara Gordon
- Description:
- A highly trained fighter and expert computer coder and hacker.
- Wields a tonfa and is skilled in a fierce combination of kickboxing, capoeira and jiu-jitsu.
- Nightwing
- Secret Identity: Dick Grayson
- Description:
- Has a unique combat style that combines agility and strength.
- Uses escrima sticks and wrist darts, along with traversal abilities like parkour, grappling, and his glider, the Flying Trapeze.
- Red Hood
- Secret Identity: Jason Todd
- Description:
- An expert marksman and hard-hitting, hand-to-hand fighter.
- Obtained the ability to harness mystical powers that aid him in battle and allow him to propel his body through the air to traverse the city.
- Robin
- Secret Identity: Tim Drake
- Description:
- A master of the collapsible quarterstaff and a specialist in stealth techniques and deductive reasoning.
- Uses technology from the Justice League satellite to allow himself to cross the battlefield and take out enemies quickly and efficiently.
These four former sidekicks need to step up and be the new protectors of a now vulnerable Gotham City. While it is indeed set in the Batman Universe of DC, the game introduces players to an original story. In this one, they not only have to show brawn by going against Gotham's worst but also brain power to solve mysteries that seem to connect the darkest chapters in Gotham's history.
In a statement, Warner Bros. Games President David Haddad shared that they're thrilled to have launched the game and invite players once again to Gotham City. He added that the development team was able to come up with a rich and multi-layered story, combined with compelling gameplay and iconic villains.
Meanwhile, Warner Bros. Games Montréal Creative Director Patrick Redding revealed that they're honored to tell the story focusing on Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin. The game is the result of the hard work by the whole team to offer a unique gameplay experience.
Two Editions
Gotham Knights is available in Standard Edition priced at $69.99 and Deluxe Edition priced at $89.99, which has the base game and Visionary Pack DLC. This DLC includes exclusive gear, cosmetics, and Beyond Suitstyle character skins inspired by the Batman Beyond animated series.
Those who want more can get the Gotham Knights Collector’s Edition, available for $299.99. It includes the Deluxe Edition as well as augmented reality collectable pin, 16-page media book, exclusive Gotham City map, and four-character statue diorama.
