'Batman vs. Superman' Movie: The Walking Dead's Lauren Cohan To Play Martha Wayne

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice fans were too busy obsessing over Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Thomas Wayne that no one thought about who might be playing Martha Wayne. IMDB confirmed The Walking Dead start Lauren Cohan will portray Batman's mother in the upcoming movie. Cohan will likely only appear in one scene, which might be a flashback to the moment Bruce Wayne was set on the path of becoming Batman.

Cohan shared a brief thank you message on her official Twitter account shortly after the news broke. Cohan's casting was one of Batman vs. Superman's best kept secrets. There were leaked photos from the infamous Thomas-Martha death scene, but the images were extremely blurry. However, one of the worst kept secrets of the Batman vs. Superman production was the identiy of the Thomas Wayne actor. Actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan will portray Thomas Wayne in the Batman vs. Superman movie.
