BlizzCon is an annual event where Blizzard Entertainment generally makes major announcements regarding their different franchises. Usually, it’s held during November but the pandemic prevented last year's normal schedule.
In addition to being canceled, there was the decision to have the event online. The wait is almost over as BlizzCon is happening at the end of this week. The opening ceremony starts February 19 at 5:00 p.m. EST.
Since the event is online, Blizzard is offering fans around the world access to six different streaming channels. The four channels are mainly focused on World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Diablo, and Overwatch. Then, there’s the strategy games channel that covers StarCraft, Warcraft III: Reforged, and Heroes of the Storm. The sixth channel is the main Blizzard channel that covers a mix of selected panels coming from the other channels.
