Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare DLC 3 is launching soon, and it’s called Absolution. Since redditors have mined the files of the game’s latest update, however, we’ve learned a little bit more. Taking a look at the gallery below, we get our first glimpse at the expansion’s four maps and Zombies chapter.

Starting off with multiplayer, Absolution has four maps called Ember, Permafrost, Fore and Bermuda. Here’s a recap of everything we can see from each screenshot.

'Absolution' - /r/InfiniteWarfare
  • Ember: True to its name, fire is the theme of this winding city. From this single angle, what we’re seeing here is a map with plenty of variety for different styles of play. The tight and winding streets look great for close-quarters combat, but, if you can find your way to a roof, sniping seems like a great path to victory too.
  • Permafrost As a direct contrast to Ember, Permafrost appears to have very spacious layout, and it’s seemingly set in an abandoned church at a cold location. Those two balconies on the sides look like great spots for opposing teams to duke it out.
  • Fore: Each DLC pack has at least one zany multiplayer map, and Fore takes that title for DLC 3. While we can’t say for sure, this map definitely looks like a reimagined version of Gauntlet from Black Ops 3. It’s sectioned off into some sort of candy land, a magical forest and a medieval manor. We imagine those different attractions will offer varied challenges for players.
  • Bermuda: It’s a bit hard to pick out the defining factor of this map, but we still like its design anyway. It’s got lots of bright colors, paint on the ground and some delipidated structures to hide in. If there is a deeper story to tell, Infinity Ward will definitely do so in the coming days.

Moving on to Zombies, our previous assumptions based on its name appear to be correct. Attack Of The Radioactive Thing is a parody of classic monster movies from the ‘50s and ‘60s. In this picture, Andre looks ready for action and Poindexter is totally freaking out. The big question, of course, is what’s going on with Sally? We hope she hasn’t become the monster our group appears to be fighting.

This key art was data mined from Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s most recent update, version 1.17. The full patch notes are right here, but it brings three new guns to the game, as well as a new voice pack and plenty of bug fixes. Perhaps most crucially, it unlocks the Call Of Duty Days Of Summer event that offers free Supply Drops and additional map access through Aug. 1.

While still unconfirmed by Activision, the running rumor is that Infinite Warfare’s third DLC will be available on or soon after July 4 on PS4. It will launch on Xbox One and PC about one month later.

‘Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare’ Review: The Shooter To Skip This Holiday Season
The rise of new properties, like Titanfall and Overwatch, combined with resurgent properties, like Destiny or Battlefield, make it hard to justify the shrinking number of new ideas in Call of Duty. Those who purchased Infinite Warfare on day one may not relate to anything in this article. But those with less fondness for the franchise, or just expecting COD:IW to at least match the quality of Advanced Warfare or Black Ops 3, should probably turn their attention elsewhere.
  • Cool weapons
  • A decent campaign story
  • Zombies is as fun and weird as ever
  • Multiplayer is too much of a grind for good weapons
  • There's not much originality in the entire package.
