Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare was supposed to get a significant playlist update with a series of bug fixes and weapon balance tweaks on Friday, but problems with the Rave In The Redwoods Zombies chapter held up its release. Activision recently responded to the confusion in a reddit post.
In short, the issue means that any balance changes, the Epic Gun Game featured playlist and the planned accessory hack have been taken offline for now. The update was live for about an hour, but it was swiftly removed for some pretty obvious shortcomings.
In specific, one of the most common errors was a cross-platform “243 pak error” triggered in Rave In The Redwoods, just before the player is about to finish getting the chapter’s Easter egg. Errors like these call back to the “disc read error” problems that plagued PS4 owners when the same DLC went live in January. Now, shortly after the Xbox launch, the struggles have resumed.
Regardless of familiarity, the team is working hard on a new patch that directly confronts the problem. Because we’re talking about a server-side fix, some of the scrapped features might even be live by the time you read this.
However, it should be noted that since the original schedule is already off kilter, the Accessory Hack and Epic Gun Game will have some extra time to shine once the kinks are ironed out over the next few days. In other words, everyone missing out will get their fill eventually.
Taking a quick glance at the patch notes for the next round of adjustments, we see that the Type-2, Volk and Titan will be privy to small buffs. The KBAR and NV4, on the other hand, are being nerfed.
Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
