Clash Of Clans ’ Halloween 2017 update is almost active, and this year’s event brings a ton of limited content to the game. A Supercell forum post details temporary boosts and reveals two spooky new troops: the Pumpkin Barbarian and Giant Skeleton.
Giant Skeleton: The Giant Skeleton targets defenses with an over-sized explosive, just like the original troop. If you kill a Giant Skeleton. he’ll drop his bomb for massive area-of-effect damage. Here are the troop’s detailed stats:
- TH2 Level 1 : 20 Space, 975 HP, 22 DPS, 800 Splash Damage
- TH3 Level 2 : 20 Space, 1170 HP, 28 DPS, 1000 Splash Damage
- TH4 Level 3 : 20 Space, 1398 HP, 38 DPS, 1200 Splash Damage
- TH6 Level 4 : 20 Space, 1690 HP, 48 DPS, 1400 Splash Damage
- TH8 Level 5 : 20 Space, 2178 HP, 62 DPS, 1600 Splash Damage
- TH9 Level 6 : 20 Space, 3055 HP, 86 DPS, 1800 Splash Damage
- TH10 Level 7 : 20 Space, 3575 HP, 100 DPS, 2000 Splash Damage
- TH11 Level 8 : 20 Space, 4095 HP, 114 DPS, 2200 Splash Damage
Pumpkin Barbarian: He’s a Barbarian with a special Berserker ability.
- TH1 Level 1 : 1 Space, 45 HP, 8 DPS, 15 Pumpkin HP
- TH3 Level 2 : 1 Space, 54 HP, 11 DPS, 18 Pumpkin HP
- TH4 Level 3 : 1 Space, 65 HP, 14 DPS, 22 Pumpkin HP
- TH5 Level 4 : 1 Space, 78 HP, 18 DPS, 26 Pumpkin HP
- TH6 Level 5 : 1 Space, 95 HP, 23 DPS, 32 Pumpkin HP
- TH7 Level 6 : 1 Space, 110 HP, 26 DPS, 36 Pumpkin HP
- TH8 Level 7 : 1 Space, 125 HP, 30 DPS, 42 Pumpkin HP
In addition to these limited-time troops, Baby Dragon Skulls will spawn throughout villages. They cost 25,000 Elixir to remove and removing them grants 75,000 Elixir.
As if that wasn’t enough, the usual set of Halloween perks we’ve seen in past events will also be present in 2017. These include:
- One-gem Spell Factory boost
- New Halloween loading screen
- Creepy sound effects and village obstacles
- Lightning Spell has bat effects
- Witch and Skeleton Spell events offer rewards of up to 200 gems
The festivities are set to begin Oct. 28 and will presumably run till at least Nov. 1. No end date is listed in the source post.
This event offers yet another example of Clash Of Clans’ recent lean towards limited-time troops. Instead of bringing a permanent offensive or defensive weapon to the game for its fifth anniversary in August, Supercell opted for a small collection of limited troops like the Battle Ram, Giant’s Surprise and Shrink Trap. It’s been quite some time since Clash Of Clans’ troop list has been adjusted for more than a few days at a time. Since it’s much newer, Supercell seems to be putting most of its lasting creative emphasis on the Builder Base.
Clash Of Clans is available now on Android and iOS.
