Attention everyone! The Royal Court is now in session. That's right, the first major expansion of Crusader Kings 3 has finally arrived. This latest addition to the game allows players to engage in vital affairs of state through a new game area.
Players can decorate their court with works of art created by master craftspeople. They can also use the rare artifacts captured or inherited across generations. The Royal Court has different functions. It's a place where players listen to the pleas of their subjects as they ask for mercy or royal favors. This is also an area to show off one's stature.
Features of this new expansion:
- Royal Throne Room
- This visual representation of the players’ royal court reflects all the accumulated majesty and prestige of their dynasty.
- Remember that only kings and emperors have royal courts, so be sure to climb the ladder of power.
- Hold Court
- Interact with vassals and courtiers as they come with their problems seeking a royal judgment.
- Grandeur
- Increase the quality of life at the court with fancier trappings and better food.
- Don’t forget to impress rivals and attract higher quality guests.
- Inspired People
- Commission talented artists, craftspeople, and thinkers to work on new projects.
- Add treasures and artifacts to the court.
- The higher the grandeur of the court, the better the quality of creators attracted.
- Court Artifacts
- Put arts and crafts on display and then pass these items of great renown down the family line.
- All artifacts can be stolen in war, building a legacy of ownership and personal claims down the centuries.
- Hybrid Cultures
- Make the most of a multicultural realm.
- Players can develop a new way of life specifically adapted to their varied population and geography.
- Cultural Divergence
- Split from the traditional culture and adapt it into something new that better fits the situation or aspirations.
The new expansion arrives in the game along with a major update, free for all players. The update adds more detail along with context for the cultural system of the game. There’s also the addition of minor court positions, a character inventory system for weapons and armor, new events, and a way for players to design their own custom coat of arms.
