The hype for CW’s Invasion! crossover (dubbed Heroes Vs. Aliens) event featuring the heroes of Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow is strong. The network finally released a trailer for the event, giving us our first look at The Dominators and confirming Deathstroke will have a role in the storyline. While we only have a few details about what to expect for the largest crossover event in TV history, the logistics are now set in stone. The event will be split up in three parts, with Supergirl coming to Green Arrow and The Flash’s turf to help save the Arrowverse against the villainous alien race.
Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim said the Heroes Vs. Aliens event is better described as more of a Supergirl crossover into the Arrowverse. All four shows are involved, but the event begins with The Flash, Arrow’ s 100th episode is the middle and Legends of Tomorrow is the finale. At the end of a Monday’s episode of Supergirl, she’ll somehow make her way over, but Guggenheim says the event really originates in Central City with The Flash. However, during a Facebook Live, Stephen Amell said he just came back from shooting five crossover episodes. This suggests we may not see Supergirl go back to National City until the Monday following the crossover week.
Here’s the schedule:
Supergirl Season 2 episode 8, “Medusa,” Nov. 28
The Flash Season 3 episode 8, “Invasion!” Nov. 29
Arrow Season 5 episode 8, “Invasion!” Nov. 30
Legends Season 2 episode 7, “Invasion!” Dec. 1
Possibly Supergirl Season 2 episode 8, “Supergirl Lives,” Dec. 5
After the Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 trailer revealed The Flash contacts Rip Hunter from the year 2056, Guggenheim confirmed it is Barry that initially calls for help. “I don’t think it’s a big shock that, between Barry and Cisco, and all of their experiences with Earth-2 and the multi-verse, that they can pluck her from Earth-CBS,” he said.
