It has been a while since we received any major news about the upcoming CD Projekt Red game, Cyberpunk 2077. The last major announcement was a Deep Dive video released around eight months ago. The developers were going to reveal more information about the game at E3 2020, however, as you may know, it was canceled due to the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak.
Several developers and publishers have decided to reveal their games via online streams. CD Projekt Red announced yesterday that they are also doing something of the sort. The developers are planning an online event titled Night City Wire. The event will take place on June 11, which is the day E3 2020 was supposed to end. The exact time of when the stream will start has not been revealed just yet.
The developers also didn’t say what exactly will be shown. Whether they will reveal more gameplay or more features, we will just have to wait and find out. Personally, I am hoping for new gameplay footage that reveals more of the open world. A few weeks ago, CD Projekt Red also revealed that the expansion packs for the game will be announced before launch, so the stream could be related to that.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a highly anticipated game developed and published by CD Projekt Red. The hype for the game reached an unprecedented level after the massive success of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which is arguably one of the best open-world games out there. Developers have also promised that Cyberpunk won’t have any in-game microtransaction or loot boxes, just like The Witcher 3.
Cyberpunk 2077 is also one of the few games to be confirmed for next-gen consoles. It will launch on PC, Stadia, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Thanks to the smart delivery system by Xbox, if you purchase Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox One, it will run on Series X as well. This means you won’t have to buy the same game twice. A multiplayer component of the game is also planned, which will be released after the single-player game has launched.
