It may seem hard to believe considering we've just crossed into 2016, but one of the year’s most anticipated movies is just around the corner. The "Merc with a Mouth" is finally arriving in his solo debut that hopes to redeem the beloved anti-hero after a poor showing in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Deadpool is looking promising so far thanks to a couple of sweet trailers that appear to honor the more “charismatic” traits of Wade Wilson’s character. Portrayed by Ryan Reynolds once again, this time’s Deadpool clearly possesses much of the witty, foul-mouthed humor that has endeared him to Marvel fans for decades. The film will also incorporate a number of ties from the overall X-Men cinematic universe, that should give plenty of mutant lovers something to look for. If that wasn’t exciting enough, some key elements of the Deadpool movie has also recently arrived, including an international poster, fresh images and an official running time. Deadpool International Poster, Runtime and New Images
Keeping in track with the language above, the Spanish 20th Century Fox website has revealed the official runtime of the Deadpool movie, which clocks in at 106 minutes (1 hour and 46 minutes). We’re not sure if the information was made public intentionally, but either way it’s a telling sign of what to expect from the film. Deadpool’s runtime is definitely among one of the shorter films in the Marvel cinematic universe. That’s a good sign because it should properly suit Deadpool’s format (dark comedy) and hopefully should provide a tight and concise story.
