Publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Camouflaj have just announced that a demo for the upcoming PlayStation VR title Marvel’s Iron Man VR is now available for the PlayStation VR via the PlayStation Store. The news comes from a PlayStation Blog post that details the contents of the upcoming demo.
A one-minute demo trailer has also been released coinciding with the announcement, showing snippets of in-game action such as the player flying through cliffs, apprehending jets, and shooting enemies out of the skies with the hero’s iconic repulsors, all with the interface we’ve grown used to from the Iron Man movies. All in all, the demo will include the game’s “Malibu” tutorial mission, cinematics involving the Interactive Stark Jet that also includes Tony, Friday, and Pepper Potts, a Stark Jet gameplay mission titled “Out of the Blue”, and two more challenge missions for both Flight and Advanced Combat. It also informed prospective downloaders of the demo that a “Molten Lava” Armor Deco will be granted to owners of the full game for free.
Sony Interactive Entertainment has also announced that it will be releasing a Marvel’s Iron Man VR PlayStation VR bundle. It will retail for $349.99, and contains a physical copy of Marvel’s Iron Man VR, a PlayStation VR headset, two PlayStation Move motion controllers, a PlayStation Camera, and a PlayStation VR demo disc.
The last time we’ve heard of the superhero VR title was last year when loads of gameplay footage was released during San Diego Comic Con, showcasing the game’s flight and combat system. Back then, a release was expected before the end of 2019. The most recent delay for Iron Man VR was announced back in April due to the ongoing global pandemic.
Marvel’s Iron Man VR will soon launch exclusively for the PlayStation VR on July 3.
