In the recent Destiny 2 TWAB, developers are reminding the community that Season of the Splicer is ending soon. So, if you have affairs or activities that you haven’t completed yet, now is the perfect time to do so.
Huge Change to the Transmog System
Developer Bungie is going to implement some changes to the game’s transmog system in Season 15.
The Transmog or Armor Synthesis system basically allows you to change the appearance of your equipped armor and weapons to something else.
Although the idea is simple, getting the necessary items is harder than it seems. So much that some people have complained about the system since it was implemented.
For the uninitiated, to get the Armor Synthesis bounties from Ada-1, you’d have to exchange Synthstrands, which are world currencies that can be gained from the enemies.
Unfortunately, getting enough of that currency is a painstaking process and would require countless hours of farming.
In Season 15, Bungie is removing Synthstrands from the game, which signals a slightly different process.
Instead of exchanging Synthstrands, you will only have to pay 10,000 Glimmer to Ada-1 to get the Armor Synthesis bounties that you need to get Synthweave tokens for transmog.
This change will serve two things. First, your consumables inventory will be tidied up a little bit. And second, it will be much easier for you to reach the 10 Synthweave tokens limit per season.
Double Rewards
If you want to do Nightfalls, you will be happy to know that starting next week, you will receive double rewards after successful completion. Further, the Shadow Price, SWARM, and Palindrome will also be up for grabs.
You can also expect a change in the Nightfall weapon rotation in Season 15. According to Bungie, instead of six weapons in a 1/1/1/3 rotation, you will be getting a total of eight. These will be doled out in pairs consisting of one newer and one older weapon.
Bungie Store Renovation
The newly renovated Bungie Store is now available. Those with existing Bungie Store accounts should migrate to the new website so that it will be easier to get Bungie Rewards in the future.
That said, if you’ve migrated your account and have successfully changed your password before August 1, 2:59 a.m. EST, you will get an exclusive in-game emblem called “New Blue.” It will be sent to you via email on August 6.
Aside from getting future Bungie Rewards, you can also get exclusive merchandise from the newly renovated store, so do check it out if you have the time.
