This week's State of the Game for The Division 2 talks about the new Pentagon and DARPA Research labs in Episode 2. In addition, Associate Game Director Drew Rechner also revealed that this week's State of the Game also celebrates the wide release of The Division 2's biggest title update yet.
The Division 2 Episode 2 — Pentagon: The Last Castle was launched last week to Year 1 Pass holders and UPLAY+ subscribers. For this week, two new main missions have been added which are:
- Pentagon
- The Pentagon, headquarters of the US military, has been abandoned shortly after the Green Poison outbreak and has since been ravaged by floods and storms. Following its lockdown, the Black Tusk are the first outside force to enter the complex.
- DARPA Research Labs
- Deep underneath the Pentagon, in secret DARPA laboratories, countless assets of immense strategic value remain. The Black Tusk have accessed the complex through the flooded tunnels and are preparing to utilize an abandoned Cold War tunnel network in order to extract vital DARPA prototypes and assets. These assets need to be secured by The Division.
In addition to Episode 2, last week also introduced Title Update 6, which brings with it, among others, extensive changes and improvements to loot, crafting, inventory, and Dark Zones.
According to the development team, they are happy with the community reaction to Episode 2 and Title Update 6. The developers also appreciate the feedback from players and encourage players to submit more feedback.
Community Shout-Out
As a way of thanking community creators, the developers highlighted two specific fan sites that offer useful features for The Division 2 players. The first is Division Builder which allows visitors to theory-craft Division 2 builds, or look at some of the top builds in the game and how they are put together. The second fan site is The Division 2: Weekly Vendor Reset which posts all the weekly vendor reset information. This site is valuable, especially for players who are looking for particular items.
