A new update is coming to Fallout 76, inviting everyone to revisit an industrial wasteland long crippled by contamination and conflict. Expeditions: The Pitt arrives this September 13, and it’s the first time in Fallout 76 that players can leave Appalachia.
For those new to the series, The Pitt refers to the ruins of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This once great industrial city has been warped with destruction and radiation. In addition to the citizens mutating to Trogs, the power struggle between the blue-collar Union faction and the power-hungry band of Raiders known as Fanatics is making things worse. Players need to build an alliance with the Union and help them fight the Raiders. Aside from earning new weapons and armor, players can also improve their reputation with this faction.
Be Ready
In The Pitt, Expeditions are large-scale repeatable missions that players can take on solo or with a team of up to four players. Any players can sign up for Expeditions, and the missions will be scaled based on the player level of the team. However, it’s always good to be prepared and come armed when exploring The Pitt.
With its labyrinthian streets, The Pitt is sure to test even the most experienced of players since the challenges are on par with the end-of-questline missions of the game. Those able to conquer Expeditions can earn experience and loot. They can also receive Stamps, a new currency that can be exchanged for powerful and rare Expedition-themed rewards.
Join the Expedition
Once Expeditions go live, players can get the base game with Fallout 76: The Pitt Standard Edition. There is also the Fallout 76: The Pitt Deluxe Edition, which has the base game and the following:
- Pittsburgh Neighborhood C.A.M.P. Kit
- Fanatic Paint for the 10mm SMG
- Trog Plushie
- Fanatic Power Armor Paint and Fusion Core Recharger.
For those who already have the game, just get The Pitt Recruitment Bundle to add the Digital Upgrade Bundle from the Deluxe Edition to the existing game. The Pitt is free to those who have the Expeditions update.
