The next entry in the Far Cry franchise is a little more than a month away. FC6 will be released on every major platform, including Amazon Luna and Stadia, on October 7, 2021. The developer of the game, Ubisoft, seems to be giving some special love to PC players. They recently released a PC trailer that showed off extra features and options just for the master race.
Some of the PC features are what you would expect. FC6 will support uncapped framerate, multi-monitor and widescreen support, and in-depth customization options. Players can also check their PC performance via in-game benchmarking tools. Hybrid input and extended control customization will be available as well.
The game will support new technologies like AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution and DirectX Raytracing. The developer has also announced previously that Far Cry 6 will feature VRS, Fidelity CAS, and Asynchronous Compute support.
All of these are nice and all, but it only matters if you can run the game properly. So, check your PC hardware if it matches Ubisoft's PC system requirements, which vary. The developer has even given requirements for 4K, 30 FPS with ray tracing for capable machines.
