FIFA 20 announced that it is introducing a new Season Objectives feature. Objectives have been popular in FIFA Ultimate Team 19 and this latest offering is expected to redefine the feature for FUT 20. Read on to learn more about this new feature.
Players who login to Ultimate Team after creating their Club can access the Objectives Hub from the FUT Central menu. Through this hub, you can track your progress towards Season Rewards.
For FUT 20, the Objectives are grouped by themes and tasks. Completing individual objectives result in XP and rewards as well as progress in completing the objective group each objective is in. Completing groups of objectives unlocks larger rewards and helps players grow, customize, or advance their Ultimate team.
Season Objectives are to be released in four ways: Daily, Weekly, Season, and Dynamic Objectives.
- Daily Objectives
- These are simple tasks which are released each day and contribute XP to your Season Rewards. These automatically release each day and expire after 24hrs.
- Weekly Objectives
- These are groups of objectives which have rewards and XP associated with the completion of the individual objectives released each week. In case you miss one week’s objectives they continue to stay active in the game for a second week, with the exception of the last week of a season which expires when the Season does.
- Season Objectives
- These are longer term challenges to finish and from the time they are pushed live remain live until the last day of the season.
- Dynamic Objectives
- These are special time-limited release Objective Groups which do not have a regular release schedule and end after a set period of time determined by the dynamic objective group. These could be tied to campaigns or real-world events that are happening in the game during the course of the Season.
Completing objectives and earning XP allows you to progress your Level on the Season Rewards tab. The first season is going to have 30 Levels, each with its own Season Reward or Reward choice. In terms of rewards, you receive a wide range which include packs, players, club customization content or other items to help progress their club, such as match coin boosts.
In addition, FIFA 20 is also looking to balance Season progression to appeal to all types of FUT players, from those who play once or twice a week, to players regularly competing in FUT Champions or Division Rivals. As you level up throughout the Season, the bigger both the challenges and rewards are going to be. You’ll also be able to track your overall progress and see all level rewards in the Season Rewards screen for the duration of the season.
That’s not all, as FIFA 20 is also introducing two other ways to unlock rewards for your play with Foundation and Milestones Objectives.
- Foundation Objectives
- This is the place for new players to learn the ropes of FIFA Ultimate Team, with organized learning objectives grouped together by subjects such as trading, team building and Chemistry.
- Milestones Objectives
- These are long term objective groups which are not tied to any Season. Once a Milestone objective group is created in FUT 20 you’ll be able to continue making progress against these objectives and unlock own pace.
The first Season of FIFA 20 kicks off September 19 and allow anyone playing FIFA 20 through the EA Access Trial to begin their progress ahead of the worldwide launch on September 27. The first season runs until the end of October.
