Depending on your age, you may have very fond remembrances of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze. I sure do. But it is a very bad movie. So while it may be easy to dump on the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, this final trailer for the sequel, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows looks like the exact kind of kinetic, over-the-top nonsense that would have had my prepubescent heart aflutter.
Seriously, this movie looks stuffed with every possible Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toy. I feel bad for parents. Check it out:
While previous trailers have shown us the technodrome and even included a shot or two of Krang’s mechanical person suit, this is the first to introduce him as Commander Krang and make it clear that Shredder is totally on board with whatever nastiness the alien invaders would care to get up to.
Plus, what’s not to love about the big, brawly Bebop and Rocksteady we’re getting here? We even get Baxter Stockman (give whoever cast Tyler Perry a medal), though we’ve yet to see any sign of his mousers (or his transformed fly form) making an appearance.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is out in theaters June 3.
