“I respect you, I see you, you’re kinda hot,” Caity Lotz says about her character meeting Supergirl in the Invasion! crossover event next month. The heroes of all four DC TV shows -- Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow- gathered for a photoshoot with Entertainment Weekly . The cast spoke about the Invasion! crossover in the EW -exclusive promo, revealing we’ll even get to see heroes on the same side fight against each other.
The promo confirms Ray Palmer will build another Atom suit. Ray’s super suit was destroyed in feudal Japan in Legends Season 2 episode 4. When the Tokugawa dynasty got ahold of it, Ray used his suit against them and was forced to leave it behind to save the team. Also inside the latest issue are pictures of the cast, one of which has Nate Heywood in a brand new super suit. Citizen Steel’s costume is a modern spin on that of his grandfather, Commander Steel, whom we met in the premiere episode of Season 2. Let’s just hope Steel can learn to control his powers better come time for crossover so he won’t land the team in feudal Japan again.
The video also features Melissa Benoist, Grant Gustin and Stephen Amell playing video games and pigging out to Big Belly. When asked about who they’d want on their team, someone from either of the four shows, Supergirl and Arrow both named Sara Lance. White Canary said she’d take Supergirl because the Waverider always needs more girl power.
While the cast may seem all happy go lucky now, that’s not going to be the case come December. EW also revealed The Dominators are going to be brainwashing aliens to join their cause, which means we may end up seeing some of DC TV’s heroes forced to fight one another. Amell revealed last week that there are as many as 20 superhoes in one fight scene. If this Avengers-style fight scene lives up to the hype, this event will set the standard for TV crossovers in the years to come.
If The Dominators need to mind control any alien to successfully take Earth, it’s Supergirl. It would take pretty much every hero DC TV has in the vault to take her down. Would you like to see Arrow and The Flash go up against Supergirl? Let us know in the comments below!
