Next week in “Into the Speed Force,” Season 3 episode 16, Barry will encounter “ghosts of his past.” The extended trailer and shorter teaser reveal Eddie Thawne, Ronnie Raymond, Captain Cold, a Time Wraith and Grodd. Then, 23 seconds in, we see a hand in a black leather suit grabbing Barry’s hand as he pleads, “Please.” The costume looks a lot like what the Black Flash was wearing in Legends, or it could be Zoom’s from The Flash Season 2.

Jay Garrick is also revealed at the very end. He tells a terrified-looking Barry, “Not every marathon has a finish line.” This is right after we hear a gunshot and see blood dripping onto the floor. Check it out:
So is that Zoom or Black Flash? I’d like to say Zoom, because Black Flash is known to be deadly to the touch. In the comics, he disintegrates speedsters just by touching them -- that’s why Reverse-Flash was so terrified on Legends of Tomorrow when Black Flash made his grim reaper debut. Since many of Barry’s old nemesis's and lost friends of his past are also present in the speed force, it would make sense Hunter Zolomon (Zoom) would be there too.
All of these people seem to be tests and manifestations of the speed force, just like Barry was tested last time he entered. However, the speed force is the home of Black Flash, which means we can’t rule out seeing both characters there. Barry hasn’t seen what’s to come of Zoom -- only the Reverse Flash has, and he doesn’t seem to realize Zoom turned into Black Flash. Barry’s journey into the speed force would be a perfect way for him to learn that there’s a force much more powerful than time wraiths ready to punish him for his actions.
