Despite there already being massive Disney and "Fortnite" crossovers in the past, it looks like things are not slowing down for the pair.
This partnership has reportedly been addressed during a shareholder meeting with Disney executives, with its CEO, Bob Iger, discussing their new plans involving Epic Games.
'Fortnite' x Disney Collaboration Is Expanding
Without a doubt, one of Epic Games' biggest partners when it comes to "Fortnite" collaborations is The Walt Disney Company. After the success of their crossovers last year, it seems that Disney wants to offer more for players of the game.
According to ComicBook Gaming (via GameRant), Iger has recently addressed executives and shareholders and expressed the company's interest in expanding the collaboration with "Fortnite."
Per the Disney CEO, players will get more than just the usual as Disney is planning an "entire Entertainment Universe in parallel with Fortnite."
This means that Disney and "Fortnite" collaborations may bring more than just new skins, items, accessories, and events to the game.
The last major Marvel crossover on "Fortnite" is Chapter 5 Season 4's "Absolute Doom," which featured a live event. "Fortnite" and Disney's previous collaboration has also involved the likes of "Pirates of the Caribbean," "The Incredibles," and Disney's iconic villains.
'Entirely New' Game Mode From Disney Coming to 'Fortnite'
This "entirely new" experience from Disney that is coming to "Fortnite" seems to center on offering a new "entertainment universe" that will highlight its IPs and franchises.
According to trusted leaker HYPEX this new entertainment universe from Disney will allow players to purchase digital and physical goods from the store. This has yet to be confirmed by either Disney or Epic Games.
Moreover, the leaker revealed that players will also be able to create "Disney x Fortnite" mini games from within this new universe and also play them here.
Reports have claimed that this may resemble the company's defunct live service universe, "Disney Infinity," which included famed Disney characters, as well as those from Marvel Comics, "Star Wars," and more.
Apart from this, the new entertainment universe from Disney will reportedly be a standalone in-game experience that may be similar to "LEGO Fortnite" but feature all-things Disney.
